Grocery & convenience
Refrigeration control and monitoring for grocery and convenience stores
Shrink from a warm case does not announce itself. CoolTech controls every case, walk-in and freezer across every store, puts them on one screen, and flags the ones drifting before a customer notices — then lets you retune the defrost that caused it without leaving the office.
What this actually looks like
Shrink that never gets attributed
A case running four degrees warm for a month does not fail — it just quietly shortens shelf life and gets written off as ordinary waste.
Nobody owns the whole estate
Each store manager knows their own building. Nobody is looking at all twelve at once, so the outlier store stays an outlier.
The defrost nobody tuned
Defrost schedules get set at install and never revisited, running cases harder and colder than they need to be, in every store, forever.
What CoolTech does about it
The part that changes
Not a feature list — the specific things that make the difference for this kind of operation.
Every store on one screen
Group by store, by case type, or by both. The fleet view sorts to the units that need attention, so the outlier surfaces itself.
Drift caught before spoilage
A case creeping up gets flagged as a sustained breach long before it reads as a failure, which is the window where the fix is still cheap.
Retune defrost across the estate
Defrost type, frequency, termination temperature and drain time are all remotely configurable — change one store, prove it, then roll it out.
Records for the audit and the insurer
Continuous logs per unit, per store, exportable for any window an auditor, insurer or corporate QA team asks about.
Questions from this side of the business
Can CoolTech monitor refrigeration across multiple grocery store locations?
Yes. Every location is a separate site with its own timezone, and every unit across every site appears on one fleet screen. Units can also be grouped across stores — for example all frozen food cases in the chain — so alerts and reports can be scoped to a group rather than repeated store by store.
How does CoolTech help reduce grocery shrink?
Most refrigeration shrink comes from units running warm for extended periods rather than from outright failures. CoolTech alerts on sustained out-of-range readings rather than only on failure, so a case running a few degrees warm is caught while it is still a setpoint problem and not yet a write-off.
Can store managers see only their own store?
Yes. Access is scoped by customer, location and group, so a store manager sees their own store while a regional or corporate account sees the whole estate.
